After 6 1/2 longs weeks on bed rest.
We are finally going to have this baby.
37 weeks
Dr. Jones told me I needed to document how fun this pregnancy has been.
He said for journaling purposes...I said birth control.
It all started with heart palpitations.
1 24 hour holter monitor.
6 weeks of a migraine type headache
3 ER visits
5 labor and delivery visits
4- 24 hour fluid checks
1 overnight stay in labor and delivery
1 amniocentesis
At the beginning I was able to feel when a fainting spell was coming on.
In the the final few days it would come on so rapidly I actually fell 5 times.
After falling the last time I was put on a VERY strict bed rest of nothing but bathroom breaks...with someone accompanying me.
We needed the baby to continue to grow.
The Dr. finally said Friday June 8th was the day.
Baby Ruby is born.
5 1/2 hours of labor
7 lbs 4 oz
20 inches
This is the first time I actually got to hold a baby for longer then just the time it takes to cut the cord.
Rod kept saying this is so weird.
I don't even know what to do.
Our other kids were usually struggling and would head right off to the nursery.
It was so wonderful and amazing and peaceful to be able to hold my sweet new baby.
Proud new daddy.
Ruby
The kids were able to come down and hold the baby just after she was born.
Kate
Meg
Hank
Just after Hank was told Ruby was born he said
"Yeah, I'm and big brother now. I'm so BIG!"
We get to take you sweet baby home with us.
No cords and machines attached.
Just a screaming baby who doesn't like the car seat.
First bath at home
She always has her little legs curled up and folded like this.
I love having this sweet spirit in our home.
Thank you to everyone who helped with meals, babysitting and cleaning.
Most of all Thank You Rod for being so wonderful.
I love you so much!
Thank you to everyone who prayed for our family.
I know Heavenly Father heard them.
And blessed us.
We are all safe and healthy.
