MeRRy ChRisTmaS

We had a wonderful Christmas
and hope you had one too.

This month....

The girls had another Christmas performance
Kate

Meggie had Santa come to her preschool program.
She was so funny she did the actions to the songs but didn't sing a word
but she sure looked cute up there

We woke up one morning and had about 6-7 inches of fresh snow
the kids had to enjoy a fresh (clean) snowball

Hank loves the snow
Hank finally says DADA......

OK & the Big D

A couple weekends ago we flew out to OK to visit Nick and Denae (Rod's sister).
The next day we drove down to Dallas for the Big 12 Championship Game.
We had a wonderful time and ate a lot of yummy food

JFK Memorial
I have to say not my favorite monument but was rather impressive by the size.

A kiss and 10$ later we got three roses

We took a tour of the Texas Rangers Baseball stadium
It was really cool to see all the stuff that you never really see
Media Press Room and Locker room

Rod was so excited to be inside the dug-out
calling the pitchers

We drove around watched all the tailgaters and Rod and Marv were foaming at the mouth.
We dropped them off and let them roam
They were is true RV and BBQ heaven

Going to the Big 12 Game
Nebraska Vs. Oklahoma U

This stadium was so HUGE.
I have never seen anything like this before in my life
It was a sad day when Nebraska lost but a great weekend.
Nick we missed you (he stayed home to study for finals)
Paul and Dara we missed you too...but are so happy to have Drew in our lives.

Friday

Today is friday and here are a few of things happening or just on my mind.
Hanks binki some how got broken today. The girls both broke at 18 months and Hank is now 19 months so it is way over due. I always panic when this time comes because I am possibly causing a big problem with sleeping. And Hank really really really likes his binki. He only gets it at naps and in the car and at church to keep him queit. And he really likes those times.
I weighed myself this morning before working out and had lost a pound, but that was after a 4 pound gain from Thanksgiving and a weekend trip. I was exactly at the point I wanted to be a few months ago, but before I went on my trip I was 3 pounds lighter and now that first number isn't good enough. I know this is so dumb, but just my thoughts today. I am really happy with my weight lost, but why do we always want more.
I love Christmas. I love the smell of my tree...yes I have a REAL one. I love the lights on the tree when it is dark. I love having my house decorated. I love the goodies, treats and food at this time of year. I love being with my family and friends. And most of all I love the Nutcracker by Ballet West. Steve got our tickets today and this makes me so happy.
But most of all I am so grateful to Mary and Joseph for saying they would follow the Lords plan.
I am so grateful for the birth of my Saviour and for the life he lived.

Festival of Trees

We decorated another tree this year in honor of Rob's life. I have loved all of our past trees but this one was so beautiful.

We love and miss you Rob!!!
All decorations, except a few balls, were purchased from Sprinkler World. You should really check them out...who know they had great Christmas decorations...and were wonderful to work with.
