We are still in the hospital, but I feel like I am beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. He is really starting to improve in his eating. We have shifted around some of his feedings and so lets hope it works. He is still cuter than ever and I can't wait to bring him home. The drive to Provo 3 times a day is getting really old, but this to shall pass.

Thank you to everyone for all of the prayers and help. We truly have the best family and friends you could have. We love you all!

Hank Update

Hank is still in the NICU. He is off all monitors, IV's and breathing machine. He is just unable to eat on his own so is being feed with a feeding tube. I am able to try and nurse him 3 times a day and until he can get most of the feeding from me they wont increase the amount of times I can feed him. The Dr. mentioned yesterday that he might come home the middle of this next week, but I mentioned that to his nurse today and she said she thought at least another week. So who knows when he will come home??? All I know is I want my baby home...of course healthy. But I want my baby home.

The Dr. said he looked like a jail bird and is stuck in the NICU.

His little leg...it is so funny it looks like a wrinkly little grandpa skin.
Rods parents came down today and Grandma got to hold Hank for the first time.
My dad also came and got to hold him

He is here

Baby Hank was born on Sunday June 14, 2009. It was/has been a little more eventful then we had hoped but are grateful he is here. We went to the hospital at 8:30am to be induced, but after being checked found out Hank was breech. The Dr. did an inversion which means he flipped the baby by pushing on my stomach to turn him...Rod said a new meaning to deep massage. He finally flipped and away we went with delivery. He came at 3:33 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 19 inches. He was struggling to breath and was sent away to the nursery. After further checking him out the Dr felt he needed to be transferred to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center to the NICU and put on a ventilator. He is still in the NICU, but has been taking off the breathing machine. He is still being feed with a feeding tube and we are trying to get him to feed on his own. His coloring was pretty yellow today so they put him on the belli lights. We are hoping that
maybe this weekend he could come home.

He was struggling to breath so they put on the Cpap machine, but it wasn't enough so this is when they decided to transfer him.

His transport cart

The next day trying to see how he does off the machine. Shortly after this they put him back on the breathing machine again.

I finally got to hold him for the first time on Tuesday
Proud daddy

I am awake

Kate and Meg were allowed to come in yesterday. They could come in onetime and only stay for 5 minutes. Kate was so excited and wanted to stay longer. Then today when I was going back she wanted to go in and see him again. And was so sad she couldn't.

She wasn't as excited as Kate.
His belli mask to protect his eyes from the belli lights.
Thank you to everyones thought and prayers.
And thank you to everyone who has helped watch my girls so Rod and I are able to be at the hospital as much as we can.

Coming Soon...

After not a very fun month of being sick. I am going to have this baby this weekend. I have been having a some troubles with my blood pressure and a racing heart which has lead to fainting a few times. My Dr. said that enough is enough and is going to start me this Sunday. As this weekend approached I am filled with excitement and nerves. I can't wait to hold this little baby in my arm and really excited to not be pregnant any longer. I hope all goes well and our little baby is healthy.

Like my mom....

If you asked my brothers and husband they would say I am my mom, but I don't think that is a bad thing. The older I get the more and more like my mom I am becoming. I was thinking tonight that the stage I am in in my life is a lot like my moms when she was expecting me.
*She turned 30 just 18 days before I was born -I just turned 30 and will have my baby in the next 4 weeks.
*Her first two children were the same sex and then the third was different - same as me
*When I cough I sound like her and I think we can sound the same when we talk
*According to Andy we have the exact same hair color even though I know that isn't true
*We both say " we don't do that" in response to something our children want to do they shouldn't -Aj still hates this response
I know there and a lot more things my brothers and husband could come up with. I just hope my mom knows how much I love her and appreciate all she has done in her life for me and my brothers. She truly has not been dealt the best hand at times, but has shown us how to be strong and true to her beliefs. I believe she has raised some pretty darn good kids. So if I am like my mom in any way I say that is ok. I love you mom!!!!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy mothers Day..a few days late. This mothers day was a wonderful day. Kate was all hugs and kisses today and telling me Happy Mothers Day. I love being a mom, but as the end of this pregnancy approaches I am beginning to panic. I wonder if I can handle 3 kids, will I be able to give all my children my love and attention. Will I have patience. Will I be able to keep my husband feel important. Will I be able to teach my kids all the things they need to know. I feel like i am an ok mom, but i just worry. Kate said in her mothers day book she made me at school that I am pretty and nice (and sometimes mean).

Me and my girls.

No...Rod and I don't really like having our pictures taken, but Kate said she wanted to take one. This is how she did...not bad...except the big prego woman.
This is Kate and Meggies photo shoot. This is the new pose.
Here is another pose.
