Tour de Cure

on saturday the poulsen cycling team rode in the tour de cure. this was my first year not being sick or pregnant and was able to ride. the 14 of us were able to ride with the many riders hoping to some day find a cure for diabetes and will no longer be a part of us.this is a dorky picture...but we were totally lame and only got these two pictures justin is rod nephew and this was he second year riding in the tour. he rode with me and rod and finished the full 25 miles with us.

and brigham city if you can't give us nice weather next year....we are done!!!!

we just returned from hawaii and had a wonderful time.

kate even said after a couple days "i never knew hawaii could be so fun"

we just played at the beach, eat and played some more

the girls got involved at the luau.

hank loved the sand. even tried it more then one time.

we went on a cat/sailboat to snorkel and found some dolphins.

the amazing sunsetswe went to pearl harbor. the babes and I and marv and diane went out to the arizona memorial. rod, nick and denae went on to a retired submarine...rod said it was really cool.

Mother of the Year

Last night Kate had a dance performance I was helping her get ready in the rear of our car. Meggie started climbing over the back seat (she like being in the third row by herself) and I noticed her car seat moved....yep her car seat isn't buckled to the car. Who knows how long ago she undid the buckle. She can get in the car seat and do her own buckles so I don't really see her car seat much. That's right MOTHER OF THE YEAR!!!!

Seeds

a little background...

my brother, rob hated tomatoes

really hated the tomato seeds

he wouldn't eat something if there were tomatoes in it

or on it

because there might be seeds left

today for lunch kate had her favorite

slice tomatoes

she didn't want to eat the last one

but

started sucking out the seeds

and said

i love the seeds

they are so yummy

just made me laugh and think of how much my brothers hated them
